Welcome to Health AI ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our mobile application and website.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our application. Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the application.

2. Collection of Your Information

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect via the Application includes:

• Personal Data: Personally identifiable information, such as your name, email address, and demographic information (such as age, gender, height, weight) that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the Application.
• Health & Fitness Data: We collect health-related data such as step count, calories burned, weight, and other fitness metrics directly from your device's health services (Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, Fitbit, etc.) only with your explicit permission. We do not use this data for marketing or advertising purposes.
• Image Data (AI Processing): When you use our AI-powered food scanning feature, you may capture or upload images of your meals. These images are transmitted from your device to our servers and then sent to a third-party AI service (Google Gemini, operated by Google LLC) for analysis and nutritional estimation. By using this feature, you consent to your food images being processed by Google's AI models. Please see Section 3 ("Third-Party AI Processing") below for full details.
• Derivative Data: Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Application, such as your native actions that are integral to the Application.

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Application to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Provide personalised health insights and recommendations using AI analysis (including sending food images to Google Gemini for nutritional estimation).
• Calculate daily caloric needs and macronutrient targets based on your profile.
• Monitor and analyse usage and trends to improve your experience with the Application.
• Notify you of updates to the Application.

Note regarding HealthKit and Health Connect Data:

We do not use information gained through the use of HealthKit or Health Connect for advertising or similar services. We do not sell your health data to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.

5. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share information we have collected about you in certain situations. Your information may be disclosed as follows:

• By Law or to Protect Rights: If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
• Third-Party AI Providers: When you use the AI food scanning feature, your food images are sent to Google LLC (via their Gemini API) for nutritional analysis. Only the image and an analysis prompt are shared — no personal account data is included. See Section 3 for full details.
• Service Providers: We may share your information with third parties that perform services for us or on our behalf, including cloud hosting, data storage, and API routing services (such as OpenRouter for AI model access). These third parties are bound by confidentiality and data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your personal information only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time directly within the Application's settings or by contacting us. Upon request, we will permanently delete your personal data from our active databases.

Food images sent to Google Gemini for analysis are processed in real time and are not stored by Google beyond the processing duration required by their API terms of service. We store processed nutritional results on our servers but do not retain the original images after analysis is complete.

7. Security of Your Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. All data transmitted between your device, our servers, and third-party AI services is encrypted using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

8. Your Choices & Consent

You have the following choices regarding your data:

• AI Food Scanning: Use of the AI food scanning feature is entirely optional. You may log meals manually at any time without your images being sent to any third-party AI service.
• Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the Application settings.
• Health Data Permissions: You may revoke access to HealthKit, Health Connect, or Fitbit data at any time through your device's settings.
